T'ai Chi Chih: Parkinson’s
NOTE: This class is held on the first Thursday of the month.
T'ai Chi Chih complimentary classes are being offered to Parkinson's people and their caregivers on the first Thursday of the month from 12:15 - 1:15 pm at Caspar Community Center. Chairs will be available and the Center has wheelchair access in the rear of the building. Offered by Dyana Sangrall (accredited instructor for 35 years), T'ai Chi Chih is easy to learn and very effective -- even after one class. Many doctors are recommending t'ai chi for their Parkinson's patients. Benefits may include: improved breathing and circulation, better balance, enhanced concentration, and focus, stress reduction, strengthens bones, and improves digestion. Monthly Meeting - People with Parkinson’s & Care Partners
Our guest speaker will be Jan Whitney, Executive Director of the Parkinson Association of Northern California.
We meet monthly on the second Thursday from 2:30–4:15 PM at the Redwood Coast Senior Center in Fort Bragg, CA.
Our meetings begin with about 45 minutes together as one group, often featuring guest speakers such as physical therapists, neurologists, social workers, or others knowledgeable about Parkinson’s.
After the group session, we divide into two smaller groups—People with Parkinson’s and Care Partners—for an additional 45 minutes of informal conversation, support, and shared experiences.
Newcomers are always welcome.
There is no cost to attend.
We ask all participants to honor the confidentiality of our discussions to ensure a safe, respectful, and supportive environment.

Holiday Party for Mendocino Coast Parkinson’s Support Group
Susan and Steve are opening their home to all PD Support Group members for a Holiday Party. No need to bring anything with you except your preferred drink. They'll have small bites, holiday cookies, and seltzer, cider, and tea. Directions available at December 11 meeting.
